Ashutosh Ganguly (born August 3, 1980) was born in London, England. He is a British singer, songwriter and composer. He is professionally known as Ash King. His foray into the realm of playback singing commenced with a remarkable debut in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's cinematic creation, "Delhi-6." Notably, Ash King boasts a familial connection to the illustrious Indian playback singer Kishore Kumar, adding a familial musical legacy to his own journey.
The pivotal juncture in Ash King's career unfolded when he secured his inaugural Bollywood breakthrough under the guidance of the legendary A. R. Rahman, contributing his vocals to the soundtrack of "Delhi-6." Rahman, profoundly impressed by King's melodic prowess, extended an invitation to his London abode, subsequently flying the promising artist to Chennai for a recording session in his private studio.
