Christopher Alan Young (born June 12, 1985) was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States. He is an American country music, showcasing his talents as a singer, songwriter, and even making a mark as a Barmageddon contestant. He is professionally known as Chris Young. His rise to fame began in 2006 when he claimed victory in Season 4 of the renowned television program Nashville Star, a prestigious singing competition aired on USA.

Following his triumph, RCA Records Nashville recognized Young's potential and promptly signed him. The year 2006 witnessed the release of his self-titled debut album, featuring compelling tracks such as "Drinkin' Me Lonely" and "You're Gonna Love Me," both of which made a notable impact on the Hot Country Songs chart.
