219 Moroccan-American Rapper

Karim Kharbouch (born November 9, 1984) was born in Casablanca, Morocco. He is a Moroccan-American rapper and songwriter. He is professionally known as French Montana. He was raised in Morocco but immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 13 years old. He is the founder of Coke Boys Records and Cocaine City Records, its predecessor. He began his musical career in 2007 when he released his debut mixtape. He gained popularity in 2010 with the release of the single "Choppa Choppa Down." He signed a joint-venture record deal with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records and Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group in 2012, after years of independent material.

On May 21, 2013, Kharbouch released his debut studio album, Excuse My French. This was followed by the release of his second studio album, Jungle Rules, in July 2017. Jungle Rules peaked at number three on the Billboard 200, and the album was supported by the single "Unforgettable" (featuring Swae Lee). "Unforgettable" was Montana's only song as a lead artist to reach the top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

However, French Montana's career has also been marked by allegations of sexual misconduct. In the 2020s, multiple women accused him of rape, drug-facilitated sexual assault, sexual battery, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct. These allegations date back several years, and French Montana has denied them. In most cases, the statute of limitations either did not apply or had not elapsed. These allegations have generated significant media attention and have been the subject of much debate and discussion in the music industry.
