Taylor Gayle Rutherfurd (born June 10, 2004) was born in Plano, Texas, United States. She is an American singer and songwriter. She is professionally known as Gayle. Her journey began when she signed her first record deal with Arthouse Entertainment in 2020. Initially, she released a series of self-produced singles, catching the attention of music industry veteran and former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, which ultimately led to her signing with Atlantic Records and Arthouse.

Gayle's breakthrough moment came in 2021 with the release of her major-label debut single, "ABCDEFU." This track quickly became a sensation, thanks in part to its viral popularity on platforms like TikTok and Spotify. "ABCDEFU" reached impressive heights, peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100.
