Grechka Lyrics - Discography

668 Russian Singer & Songwriter

Anastasia Dmitrievna Ivanova (born March 1, 2000) was born in Kingisepp, Leningrad Oblast, Russia. She is a Russian singer, composer and songwriter. She is professionally known as Grechka. At the age of 12, Grechka watched the film "Camp Rock" and decided to become a rock star.

Her parents bought her a guitar, and she began playing and singing covers of songs by Valentin Strykalo on the streets of her hometown. When she turned 17, Grechka moved to St. Petersburg to attend the College of Water Resources. It was here that she was noticed by Alexander Ionov, the creator of the Ionoff Music label, while singing on the street. In October 2017, Grechka had her debut concert under Ionov's label and subsequently released her debut studio album, "Stars Only at Night," in December 2017. The album only had drums and bass added to her original songs.

In early 2018, Grechka's song "Love me, love" gained popularity and was played on the radio. She also opened for the Vulgar Molly group and performed on the Evening Urgant show with the same song. In June 2018, Grechka performed at the Pain and Stereoleto festivals, and in August, she performed at the Invasion-2018 rock festival.

However, in the same year, the famous singer Zemfira made rude comments about Grechka's appearance, voice, and songs, which greatly affected her and caused her to fall into depression. She eventually apologized to Grechka personally. Despite this setback, Grechka released her second album, "We are like characters," in November 2018, which included eight compositions about emotional experiences, friendship, and love.

In March 2019, Grechka released an album of archival recordings, "Collection of a Youngster," which featured songs she had recorded when she was 16-17 years old. The songs were officially released in the album, although Grechka had published them before its release. At the end of 2018, Grechka and Ionov ended their cooperation. Grechka's music has gained a significant following in Russia, and she continues to produce new music and perform in concerts and festivals.
