Krishna Kaul (born October 4, 1987) was born in Delhi, India. He is an Indian rapper. He is professionally known as KR$NA. He is regarded as one of the pioneers of the Indian hip-hop scene and emerged as a rapper in the mid-2000s under the stage name Prozpekt. KR$NA is known for his exceptional writing and technical skills, which have made him a force to be reckoned with in the Desi Hip-Hop scene.
In 2019, KR$NA made a brief appearance in the Bollywood movie "Gully Boy" as himself. The same year, he accused IPL and Disney+ Hotstar of allowing the plagiarism of his 2017 song "Dekh Kaun Aaya Wapas" for the 2020 IPL anthem "Ayenge Hum Wapas". However, composer Pranav Ajayrao Malpe dismissed these allegations. KR$NA's team threatened to take legal action against Disney+ Hotstar for commissioning the song.
In 2021, KR$NA collaborated with American rapper Hi-Rez on several songs. In January, he featured on Hi-Rez's song "Crossroads" alongside Royce da 5'9". Later in July, he was featured on "Playground," another collaboration with Hi-Rez, which also featured former Slaughterhouse member, KXNG Crooked. In November of the same year, KR$NA was also featured on Hi-Rez's "Overdrive," alongside A-F-R-O, Joell Ortiz, Bizzy Bone, Tech N9ne, and Twista. All these music videos were released on Hi-Rez's YouTube channel.
In 2022, KR$NA was featured on Karan Aujla's song "Ykwim". The rapper has remained relevant in the music scene and has continued to inspire the younger generation of rappers. His infamous beefs in the Desi Hip-Hop scene have also kept his fans on the edge of their seats.
