Leith Ross (born July 9, 1998) was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She is a Canadian indie rock singer-songwriter and guitarist. In 2020, while studying at Humber College, Ross recorded their debut EP, Motherwell, which garnered significant attention within the indie music scene.
However, it wasn't until August 2021, when Ross's single "We'll Never Have ѕєx" gained traction on the social media platform TikTok, that they truly began to gain widespread recognition. The song's catchy melody and relatable lyrics struck a chord with listeners, quickly becoming a viral sensation and catapulting Ross into the public eye.
Since then, Ross has signed with major record labels Interscope and Republic Records and has toured extensively both nationally and internationally, sharing the stage with notable acts such as Lord Huron, Andy Shauf, and Helena Deland. In recognition of their talent, Ross was awarded the inaugural John Prine Songwriter Fellowship at the prestigious 2022 Newport Folk Festival.
