Martijn Gerard Garritsen (born May 14, 1996) was born in Amstelveen, Netherlands. He is a Dutch DJ and record producer. He is professionally known as Martin Garrix. Garrix has become one of the most recognizable names in electronic dance music. He rose to international fame with his chart-topping single "Animals" in 2013, which became a global hit and topped the charts in several countries. Since then, he has released numerous successful singles such as "Scared to Be Lonely" and "In the Name of Love", which have received critical acclaim and commercial success.
