Choi Ye-na (born September 29, 1999) was born in Gil-dong, Gangdong District, Seoul, South Korea. She is a South Korean singer and actress. She is professionally known as Yena. she rose to prominence as a participant on Mnet's reality girl group survival show Produce 48, where she finished in fourth place and became a member of the temporary group IzOne. After the disbandment of IzOne in April 2021, Yena continued her career as a soloist and actress under Yuehua Entertainment.

Yena's solo debut came on January 17, 2022, with the release of her first EP titled "Smiley." The EP showcased her versatility as an artist and received positive reviews from fans and music critics alike. She made her broadcast debut on Mnet's M Countdown on January 20, delivering an impressive performance of her title track "Smiley." Just a few weeks later, on February 10, 2022, Yena achieved her first-ever music show win on M Countdown, marking a significant milestone in her solo career.
