146 British Metalcore Band

Architects are a British metalcore band that formed in Brighton, East Sussex, in 2004. The band originally consisted of guitarist Tom Searle, his twin brother Dan Searle on drums, bassist Tim Hillier-Brook, and vocalist Matt Johnson.

Their debut album, "Nightmares," was released in 2006 on In At The Deep End Records. This was followed by their sophomore album, "Ruin," in 2007, which garnered critical acclaim and helped to establish the band as a prominent force in the UK metalcore scene.

Architects continued to refine their sound and gain popularity with subsequent albums, including "Hollow Crown" (2009), "The Here and Now" (2011), and "Daybreaker" (2012). In 2013, Architects faced a major setback when Tom Searle was diagnosed with skin cancer. Despite undergoing treatment, he tragically passed away in August 2016 at the age of 28.

In the wake of Tom's death, the band decided to carry on, with Dan taking over his brother's guitar duties and Sylosis guitarist Josh Middleton joining the lineup. They released the album "Holy Hell" in 2018, which was dedicated to Tom's memory.

Architects' music is characterized by a blend of aggressive metalcore, progressive metal, and post-rock elements. Their lyrics often deal with social and political issues, as well as personal struggles and mental health.

Over the years, Architects have become one of the most respected and influential bands in the metalcore genre, and their passionate fanbase continues to grow with each new release. Browse A to Z all Architects Lyrics, songs, and albums below.
