Björk Guðmundsdóttir (born November 21, 1965) was born in Reykjavík, Iceland. She is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, composer, record producer, and actress. She is professionally known as Björk. she began her music career at a very young age and has become one of the most celebrated and unique artists of our time. She is known for her extraordinary three-octave vocal range, as well as her eccentric and avant-garde persona.

Björk rose to international fame as the lead singer of the alternative rock band the Sugarcubes, when she was only 21 years old.
