421 British Rapper

Rhys Angelo Emile Herbert (born June 29, 2000) was born in Ladbroke Grove, London, England. He is a renowned British rapper. He is professionally known as Digga D. He gained fame in 2017 as a member of the UK drill group 1011.

His mixtapes, Double Tap Diaries and Made In The Pyrex, achieved great commercial success and peaked at number 11 and 3 on the UK Albums Chart, respectively. His third mixtape, Noughty By Nature, released on 15 April 2022, debuted at the top of the UK Albums Chart, marking another significant milestone in his career.

Herbert's journey as a rapper started in 2011 when he made his first song at the Harrow Club with M'Skum and Sav'O, who later became members of the 1011 collective. Unfortunately, Herbert's run-in with the law in his eighth year of school over cannabis possession led to his expulsion, and he did not take his GCSE exams. He released his first single "Jumping" when he was just 14 years old.

Digga D is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the UK drill scene, and he founded his own record label, Black Money Records (BMR). He is managed by Groundworks, and his music has received critical acclaim for its unique blend of streetwise lyrics and hard-hitting beats.

However, Digga D's success has not come without controversy. Some of his music videos have drawn the attention of law enforcement agencies, resulting in a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) being issued against the 1011 collective. Furthermore, Herbert has been in and out of prison during the release of some of his singles and videos. In fact, he was sent to prison three times before turning 20, which is a testament to his resilience and determination to succeed despite the challenges he has faced.

In conclusion, Digga D is a talented rapper who has made a significant impact on the UK drill scene. His success has been driven by his unique style and ability to connect with his audience through his music. While his journey has been fraught with challenges, his determination and commitment to his craft have enabled him to achieve remarkable success and establish himself as one of the most exciting talents in the British rap scene.
