Kobe Vidal Crawford Jr. (born August 20, 1998) was born in Mobile, Alabama, United States, and he is an American rapper and singer, known for his distinctive Southern-style rap and introspective lyrics, and professionally known as NoCap.
Growing up in the South, NoCap was influenced by the music of local artists such as Lil Boosie and Kevin Gates. He started writing and recording his own music at a young age, and began to gain a following on social media through his mixtape releases and freestyle videos.
In 2019, NoCap signed to Atlantic Records, and shortly after released his debut mixtape "The Backend Child". The mixtape featured popular tracks like "Ghetto Angels" and "Legend", which helped establish NoCap as a rising star in the rap scene.
